A BET BORN AT THE RACETRACK
The superfecta comes from horse racing. It's an exotic wager in which you pick the first four horses across the finish line: not just which four, but the exact order they finish. It sits at the top of a family of bets that gets harder as it goes: the exacta (first two in order), the trifecta (first three in order), and finally the superfecta. Because it's so difficult to hit, superfecta payouts at the track are famously enormous. A small stake can return thousands when a longshot sneaks into fourth.
FROM THE TRACK TO THE GRID
F1 Superfecta takes that same idea and applies it to Formula 1. Instead of horses, you're calling drivers: before qualifying each race weekend, every player in your league predicts who will finish P1, P2, P3, and P4 in the Grand Prix, in exact order. Get all four right and you've hit the superfecta, winning your league's prize pool for that race. If nobody hits it, the pool rolls over to the next round and keeps growing.
WHY IT'S SO HARD
With 22 drivers on a Formula 1 grid, there are 22 × 21 × 20 × 19 = 175,560 possible ways the top four can shake out. Pure chance gives you roughly a 1 in 175,560 shot. Knowledge shrinks those odds dramatically, since form, car pace, and track history all help. But F1 has a habit of wrecking "obvious" predictions. A first-lap tangle, a badly timed safety car, a midfield car hooking up its tyres, and suddenly the driver you slotted into P4 finishes P5 and your perfect card is gone. That knife-edge between skill and chaos is exactly what makes hitting a superfecta feel so good.
HOW SCORING WORKS
Unlike a track bet, F1 Superfecta rewards near-misses too. Each of your four picks earns 1 point when the driver finishes in exactly the position you predicted, for a maximum of 4 points per race. Those points build your season-long leaderboard position, and if the prize pool is never claimed by a perfect prediction, it goes to the leaderboard leader when the season ends. So every race is a shot at the jackpot, and every point is progress toward the fallback prize.
